At the same time, the Labor Party’s victory in the British elections in 1945 had opened the doors of independence because they had told their Manifesto to grant independence to other English colonies like India.
Despite the many differences and agitations, the talk of Indian leaders started with Lord Wavell and the dream of Independent India was on the verge of being true. Lord Mountbatten was elected the last Viceroy of India in February 1947, which was the work of arranging India independently in a systematic manner.

They set a time of 12 o’clock on the night of 14th and 15th August, because according to the British, the day begins at 12 AM but according to the Hindu calendar, on the sunrise.
Not only this, he also told Nehru that he had to give his freedom of speech in Abhijit Muhurat between 11:51 PM to 12:39 AM.
