A very good morning, to our respected principal sir, teachers and all other mates sit before me. We all gather today to remember an immoral person whose name should be written the golden carves in Indian and it’s subcontinent history. Without whom instruction and participation we can’t achieve independence yet, also, The freedom of speech is so far. From the birth to death, every step and thinking method yet makes us feel about him, what a generous and pious man, he was! Whom footprint and direction leads us to ensure our right and escapes from others rule. Yes, telling about this great person seems to dare to me, but I would like to share about some of his activity to you as his every step of life influence us all of the Indians to think more depth and keep on truth.
Thanks to my class teacher and principal to give me that floor to recite some speech in this Gandhi Jayanti and about this great legend Mahatma Gandhi.
As you know, today is the birthday of “father of the nation,” mostly known as “BAPU” and earned the title “Mahatma” through his deeds. However, in his entire lifetime activity, all kind of adjectives goes with him and not only the Indians but also other nation/ citizen study higher about his lifestyle and try to follow his footprint as well.
The full name of our Gandhi Ji is Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on 2nd October 1869 in Porbandar, Gujarat in a dewan family as his father Karamchand was the chief-dewan of the state of Rajput. The name of the great woman who born this ideal person is Putlibai also a pious and straightforward woman. This day is a national holiday among our three national holidays, and all Indian celebrated this day with due respect along with the great enthusiasm to pay tribute to the father of the nation. We can’t pay his owe but can tribute our most by taking his noble thoughts in our heart.
This day also celebrated worldwide as Non-violence day to show respect of this faithful preacher. 2nd October is declared as the international non-violence day by United Nations General Assembly on 15th June 2007 as showing tribute to Mahatma who showed us that Satya(truth), Ahisma(Non-violence) and Shanti(peace) would be the best way to achieve one’s right. His “Satyagraha” would be the best method to follow in getting something is correct manner where today our society is full of crime and violence. Not a single movement leads by him supported any violence but always wins as truth is winner all the time
Today in this Gandhi Jayanti speech, I try to recite the important part of his life and apparently his guideline in the national movement because every step of his life would be a great lesson for us. Great people haven’t come usually, but they occasionally come to keep his footprint ever fresh in the history. Mahatma Gandhi is more than that and always above the average level of national heroes As he is the father of the nation and creator of this India.
M.K Gandhi passed his childhood living in the rural area and passed the matriculation from local high school. From his childhood, he loves to follow the truth and generous way. After passed his matriculation he married Kasturba in 1883 at the age of fourteen in an arranged marriage under his parents. At that time, early marriage is their social and family rule. After few days of his marriage, he lost his father. In the following year, this M.K Gandhi and his wife have their first child who died after two years survival. After passing the matriculation, this great man went to London to study law and become a barrister. Without any difficulty or significant error, he passed his law education and then come back to India. Trying to establish his career in India but failed and then went to South Africa as the lawyer of an Indian firm. Here he noticed the social and economic discrimination against Indian. One day he also gets restricted to sit in a first class sit though he brought the first class ticket. It seems the most influenced part of his life what convince him to make this move and establish the truth, and right everywhere.
He tries to unite Indians and raise voice against the injustice of British rulers along with ensuring their proper right and basic needs. He makes people aware of their rights, shows them the social discrimination, and finally lead them a non-violence route for achieving that.
In 1915, he returned India, joined politics as a general congress member, and soon become the president. At that time, he tried to develop the villages and improve their lifestyle. He inspired people to follow a non-violence method for retaining that injustice of British rulers. From that time, he creates some movement I’ll mention later that leads India to become independent.
Gandhi inspired people to use their local goods rather import them even also create a charka of cotton to use local cloth. He also encourages people to become self-reliant and become self-dependent one. As he reveals against the taxpaying misrule upon Indians, he makes a march called as Salt-march/ or dandy March in 1930.
Dandi March (1930), British rulers make a rule to pay their taxes in producing salt, and they take much burden that hampers in farmers living. Then he went to Dandi and produced salt without paying any tax with a team of farmers.
In his lifetime, he had taken to prison several times but he never devoid from his struggle and path of honesty. Every struggle and movement after 1920 made him stronger and inspired to be strong in his satyagraha. In his lifetime, he passed one-week fasting as showing the revenge to British ruler and their injustice.
In 1942, he united Indian and made a slogan to British governor for quit India, and finally, it becomes the success in 1947 through India getting its freedom.
He comes as an idol of the whole world for his great invention SATYAGRAHA what leads people to follow the truth and straightway rather take violence way.
His footprints ever fresh in Indian history and his deeds are remarkable in all Indians heart. Hope we should learn various terms from him and always follow the rule of non-violence.
